The event will feature a chocolate tasting facilitated by Benoit Racquet, Belgian Master Chocolatier, BeChocolat (Fairfield CT). Benoit will walk us through pairing specially chosen chocolates from his shop with wine from your own collection.

Following the Chocolate Tasting we will be joined by recently elected Penn State Board of Trustee members: Brandon Short, Steven Wagman, and Alvin De Levie for an interactive fire side chat moderated by none other than Adam Taliaferro, ’05 Penn State Football Letterman.

Our very special guest speakers for the evening will be Amanda Gifford Lockwood (Bio) and Ryan Hockensmith (Bio)! Amanda and Ryan both work at ESPN. Amanda is a Coordinating Producer and does content planning for shows like SportsCenter and Ryan is a Writer/Editor for ESPN The Magazine. Both Amanda and Ryan have been awarded the Alumni Achievement Award by the Penn State Alumni Association. The conversation will be led by Cindy Cornell, Penn State Alumna and Yale School of Management Career Coach.

The cost for the dinner is $35 for current students and recent 2019 graduates and $50 per person for Alumni, Parents, and Honorary Members. The cost of the event includes the meal and your 2019 membership to the Southern CT Chapter Alumni Association.

Please join us for our Student Send-Off and Scholarship Award Picnic on Sunday, August 12th from 3-5 pm at the home of Doug Goodman (PSU '67), 4265 Congress Street, Fairfield, CT. 

This free event will give you an opportunity to meet other incoming and current Penn State students, learn some Penn State Trivia, play games, and get some advice from recent grads on getting the most out of your Penn State experience while achieving academic success as you start this exciting chapter of your life!

The Southern Connecticut Chapter of Penn State Alumni Association is pleased to announce our third year of our scholarship in the memory of Tally Sepot. Tally was a dedicated Penn State student from Branford, CT who was tragically killed returning to campus after fundraising for THON, the largest student run philanthropy in the world, which raises money to combat pediatric cancer. The scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman student from Fairfield County, Litchfield County, or New Haven County.  
 
In order to raise money for our scholarship, we are planning a "Ride for Tally" fundraiser on May 20,  2018 at JoyRide Cycling Studio in Westport from 11:00am to 12:00 pm.
