Penn State Renal Lions — 2026 Connecticut Kidney Walk
Our team is walking this year in honor of one of our own — a longtime chapter leader whose decade of service shaped who we are today, from his years as Chapter President to founding our group football ticket fundraiser, establishing the Tally Sepot Memorial Scholarship, and serving six years on the Penn State Alumni Council.
What many didn't know is that he's also been living with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), a rare kidney disease, since 2009. As his kidney function declined, he needed dialysis and, on July 1, 2026, received a transplant. He's now recovering well.
His strength through it all is why we're walking on October 18 — to raise awareness of kidney disease, support the National Kidney Foundation's work for patients and families, and help push forward the research and advocacy that make transplants possible.
